The Tennessee Association of Professional Process Servers (TAPPS) is a non-profit corporation that represents the interests of professional process servers across the state of Tennessee. Founded in 1995 through the efforts of Process Servers across the State, TAPPS has been supporting and protecting the interests of Servers for 20 years. TAPPS provides you with Professional Process Servers conducting legal document delivery and retrieval throughout all 95 Tennessee Counties.
TAPPS obtained its Charter membership in 2012 and has maintained the required elements to hold its Chartered status. Our members maintain the TAPPS’ professional code of ethics and high standards required to continue membership. It is this commitment by the members of TAPPS that allow clients to feel confident that their legal documents are in the hands of a professional.
TAPPS members are provided yearly training during our annual Convention. This training allows Private Investigators who serve process to obtain the required Six CEU’s necessary to maintain a Tennessee Private Investigators License. We have been working hard toward creating an Educational Program not only for our members, but for all process servers in Tennessee. While the State of Tennessee requires no registration or background check, TAPPS members are required to have no prior felonies. We encourage our members to attend the annual convention and maintain an awareness of what issues face our profession as well as brush up on current legislative items, education, and technology.
